No, airfare is not included in the rate. Normal flights into Managua or Liberia, Costa Rica are about $300-$500 roundtrip from most major airports in the US. We will arrange for airport transportation (or from the border if you are coming from Costa Rica) at no extra cost.

We recommend getting Travel insurance before you join us in Nicaragua incase of any travel disruptions or cancellations.

All of our retreats are located on the wave-rich region of the Emerald Coast in Southern Nicaragua. Our primary resorts are Mark and Dave’s, Rancho Santana and Malibu Popoyo. While our accommodations may vary from retreat to retreat, we are always situated around the Popoyo, Rancho Santana, or Hacienda Iguana communities.

We are extremely blessed to have consistent waves throughout the whole year. The largest swells arrive between April and October and can range from shoulder to head high on most days with exceptional swells going well overhead. From November through March, you can expect fun waist to shoulder high waves most days with amazing clean offshore conditions.

Of course! Our retreats are perfect for solo travelers or small groups. We are focused on bringing together like-minded individuals who are looking for transformative experiences in and out of the water.

The first step is filling out our Booking Request form on our website. Once you have decided on your dates, we will request a $500 deposit to secure your reservation. This payment can be made via credit card, PayPal, or direct deposit. The final payment will be required 2 weeks ahead of your arrival date.

If you decide that you are unable to join us after you have made your deposit, we are happy to make full refunds for cancellations made more than 30 days before your arrival date. Cancellations made within 30 days of the arrival date will forfeit their deposit.

Definitely! Surfboard rentals are available for all guests, but if you have your own gear and prefer to use that, go for it! Beginner surf retreats include use of our soft top boards.
